News from the WPL: Library Conduct Policy update

The Winnebago Public Library has recently updated (April 2018) their Library Conduct Policy. Winnebago Public Library staff are encouraging parents to read over the policy and note the emphasis on child safety. Parents, please partner with the library by sending your child aged 10 (ten) and over to the library with their library card and as soon as possible update you/your child’s library account with phone numbers in case of emergency.

Please take a moment to review the policy and rules with your child. Children under the age of 10 (ten) must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible caregiver at all times while in the library. The parent/caregiver must keep the child within sight. Caregivers must be 14 (fourteen)or older, be able to effectively supervise young children and be willing and able to provide contact information for a parent/guardian upon request.
