PROM:

This years prom theme is:  Glitz and Glamor ~ A Night at the Gatsby: April 21

Prom will be held at Klehm Arboretum and Botanic Garden.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m.  Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Crowning of the King and Queen will be at 7:40 p.m.  Dance starts at 8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.


Baccalaureate:

Seniors: We are starting to plan the Baccalaureate service that takes place at WHS at 1 pm before Graduation. Baccalaureate is a non-denominational Christian ceremony that includes worship songs, scripture readings, graduation message, Senior Class Poem and concludes with the Senior Class slideshow.

All seniors are welcome to help plan the service and take on speaking parts. If you are interested in helping, please see Mrs. Thompson or Mrs. Behn. We will have our first meeting very soon!


Football:

All interested in playing football next year see Coach Helm for materials.  Camp forms are due to Coach Helm/ Thompson by April 27th to guarantee a shirt.


Library:

WHS Book Sale! HALF OFF! .50 cents per paperback, $1 per hardcover or $5 for 10 or more (no limit)! On sale now through Friday!


Detasseling:

Anyone interested in detasseling, see Mrs. Erb, Mr. Erb or the guidance office to get a form filled out and returned to Mrs. Erb (room 201).  Applications for those who will be hired to work will be handed out late April/Early May.

Library: Battle of the Books:

Battle of the Books teams now forming! Sign up with Mrs. Thompson in the Library. The Battle of the Books date is set for Tuesday, May 8th. Details available in the WHS Library. Winning Team splits $100 along with other great raffles & prizes. This event takes place at Harlem High School against teams from Pecatonica, Harlem & Hononegah.


PBIS Tickets:

Looking for the ticket boxes in the library and cafetorium? Our regular monthly PBIS drawings will return in April and May. Watch for special ticket opportunities in March instead of the usual PBIS tickets. Save your regular tickets to enter in the drawings for April and May. Upcoming prizes include a wireless speaker and Dick's Sporting Goods certificate.


PBIS Trip:

4th Quarterly Reward Trip will be to Volcano Falls  on May 16th

Lunch will be at Dairy Queen or Taco Bell Cut-off Date in order to qualify - May 7th

Qualifications:

Attendance - No Unexcused Tardies-0

Major Referrals - None Grades: NOT on the Intervention List


Attention Students: Beginning on 8/28/17

Tardies for the year will be counted and used to determine parking incentives for the 2018-19 school year.

Parking fees will remain $75, BUT your number of tardies may earn you a discount in addition to determining your raffle order.

For the 2017-18 School Year

(8/28/17-5/30/18)

0-2 tardies= free parking spot and eligible for the first rounds of drawing

3-4 tardies= ½ off parking spot and eligible for the second round drawing

5+ tardies=full price parking and eligible for final round in the drawing
