Winnebago CUSD #323 deadline for mail-in registration for the 2010-11 school year was July 19, 2010. There is a late charge of $25 for payments received after July 19. Registration forms and payments can still be mailed or returned to the locked drop box located outside Jean McNair Elementary School. Please include the $25 late fee in your registration fee.
Registration for new students and families will be held in each building office on Wed., Aug. 11 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you are unable to register your children for next school year at the new student registration, please contact the school office to make an appointment to register.
At Dorothy Simon Elementary, teachers and Mr. Mandera are already preplanning for next year including working on tentative class list for grades first through fourth. It will be very important that all of you help us out this summer by sending in your school registration paperwork in a timely manner so all enrollments can be monitored closely.
Class lists will be posted on Fri., Aug. 20 at each elementary school. No student will be placed on a class list if proper documentation is not on file at your child’s school prior to the start of school on August. 25.

Over the summer month, save your unwanted Happy Meal toys. They are very popular AR prizes if you wish to donate them to our prize bins next year.
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) requires Illinois students to receive a "full" physical exam within one year of entering any pre-Kindergarten/Early Childhood program, Kindergarten, sixth and ninth grades.
Student Directories are available for purchase at all school offices. The Student Directory is a Winnebago school phone book that lists all early childhood through grade twelve students alphabetically with their grade level, address, parent/guardian names, and phone number. Directories cost $4 each or two for $7. If you would like a directory, please stop in any school office.
Remember when? We have been asking ourselves that in the Athletic Department lately and are hoping you can help us out.
Now that the school year is underway, many of you will be attending games to show your support. While we hope you will attend the events to support our schools, it also is imperative that any student fifth grade and younger is accompanied by an adult.
Parents and guardians on our field trips are welcomed and appreciated! Not only is it a great educational time to spend with your child, but also a super bonding experience between parent and child.
Dorothy Simon will be serving breakfast in the cafeteria from 7:45 - 8:05 a.m. Cost for the prepackaged breakfast is $1.50. Our breakfast program is eligible for free and reduced rate of $.30.
