Welcome to another fantastic year!  The Dorothy Simon school newsletter will be published once a month (usually the first Friday of the month) for all families of Simon students. 

No Kids Club Services November 22-24

No  Kids Club Services from November 22-24 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Also, if you or someone you know should need extra help for the holiday season (food or gifts), please contact Erin Freeman to discuss the Winnebago Adopt-a-Family program. 815.335.2318.

No School for staff and students November 22-24 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Classes will resume Monday, November 27.

Dear Parent/Guardian: The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has mandated that all elementary schools test their drinking fountains and other potable sources of water for lead contamination.

Winnebago Schools collect canned goods

Winnebago School District students did an outstanding job on the food drive to support the Northern Illinois Food Bank. Altogether they donated 3,202 items. The Winnebago High School won, bringing in 1,676. Thank you Crossroads for the $1,000 donation to Winnebago High School.

PTO Meeting dates, Minutes and Agendas

The Winnebago PTO invites all parents/guardians and teachers of students in Early Childhood to fifth grade to attend monthly meetings. The first meeting is in September. Agendas for meetings are sent home with students in advance and will note the meeting location and time.

Volunteers connect our community with our schools, and there are so many opportunities to get involved. Along with attending PTO meetings, being on a sub-committee for an event, or working on a fundraiser, there are other volunteer opportunities that may fit into your schedule.
