Important information for Jean McNair Parents

Please plan ahead of time with your child whether you’ll drop off and/or pick up students along the sidewalks in the front OR back of the building.  Behind the school, you can pull right up to the back door and in front of the school, you should pull right up past the front doors to Jean McNair to the northeast corner of the building.

Winnebago Schools will have Early Dismissal on Wednesday, October 25 due to a School Improvement afternoons. Lunch will be served.

Elementary Conferences October 25 - 26

Elementary conferences this fall are scheduled for Wednesday, October 25, from 4-7:30 p.m. and Thursday, October 26 from 1-7:30 p.m. 

Please note that Wednesday, October 25, there is early dismissal due to a School Improvement afternoons

Jean McNair St. Jude Math-a-Thon

This year, Jean McNair fourth graders are showing that they can make a difference by participating in the St. Jude Math-A-Thon.  All money raised will benefit the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  St. Jude treats children who are battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases, and no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Winnebago Schools collect canned goods

Winnebago School District students did an outstanding job on the food drive to support the Northern Illinois Food Bank. Altogether they donated 3,202 items. The Winnebago High School won, bringing in 1,676. Thank you Crossroads for the $1,000 donation to Winnebago High School.

Annual DARE Graduation Ceremony

Jean McNair fifth graders participated in the Annual DARE Graduation night on January 20.

Jean McNair fifth graders participated in the Annual DARE Graduation ceremony on January 20. Students completed a 10 weeks of the DARE Program. Retired FBI Agent and State Representative Jim Sacia spoke at the event. Chloe W. was the 2016 Chief George Saladino memorial recipient.

A Big Thank You to the Winnebago Lions Club and the Winnebago PTO for being Co-sponsor for the Jean McNair DARE program.

A Big Thank You to the Winnebago Lion's Club and the Winnebago PTO for being Co-sponsor for the Jean McNair DARE program. DARE is Drug Abuse Resistance Education for Jean McNair 5th Grade students. CUSD #323 is one of only two schools in Northern Illinois that are lucky enough to still have this program up and running.
