Internet Safety and Social Media Event

With great honor, Winnebago Middle School is hosting an event with our State's Attorney Joe Bruscato on Tuesday, February 28th at 6:00pm.   Mr. Bruscato will be sharing with parents an Internet Safety Program discussing dangers of social media for teens and preteens.

Winnebago Community School District Bond Information

On Nov. 8, 2016 a $25.6 million bond issue that would have generated enough money to build a $17 million elementary school and cover other improvements was not approved by the community.

Early Dismissal March 1

Winnebago School District students will have early dismissal on Wednesday, March 1. Lunch will be served.  

  • Dorothy Simon Elementary School - dismissal is at 12:40 p.m. 
  • Jean McNair Elementary School, Winnebago Middle School, and Winnebago High School  - dismissal is at 1 p.m. 


Jean McNair Elementary School First Quarter Honor Roll January 2017

Congratulations to the 135 fourth and fifth grade students who made the Honor Roll for the second quarter of the 2016-2017 school year. Honor Roll students have all A's and B's, while High Honor Roll students have all A's for their classes during the second quarter grading period. Way to go!

Winnebago Fans Club Lottery Tickets Available For Purchase

The 2017 Fans Club Lottery ticket sales are under way. The Winnebago Fans Association had its first lottery drawing in October of 1988. Since then, Fans Club has raised over $199,000 for Winnebago extracurricular activities. Some of the original volunteers are still with this worthwhile program.
