Schedule and Student ID pick up day - August 18

Students may pick up their class schedule and student ID on August 18 in the High School Office. The Office will be open 7 a.m - 4 p.m. If the yearbooks have arrived by then, yearbooks will also be distributed on the August 18.

Mail-in registration packets still being accepted

Winnebago CUSD #323 deadline for mail-in registration for the 2010-11 school year was July 19, 2010. There is a late charge of $25 for payments received after July 19. Registration forms and payments can still be mailed or returned to the locked drop box located outside Jean McNair Elementary School. Please include the $25 late fee in your registration fee.

New Family and Student Registration August 11

Registration for new students and families will be held in each building office on Wed., Aug. 11 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you are unable to register your children for next school year at the new student registration, please contact the school office to make an appointment to register.

Boy's Track Team takes Second Place at State Meet

The boy’s track team had an impressive showing downstate, taking second as a team and competing well in both field and track events. In discus, Alex Thompson took first. Nathaneal Rittmeyer took third in pole vault. Alex Thompson placed fifth in shot put.

Winnovation places third at World Championships

2009 2010 Robotics team

Team Winnovation finished an impressive third at the World Championships in Atlanta. The group has advanced to the World Championships five of the six years of its existence, competing this year against 342 teams! The Winnebago CUSD #323 recognized the team and its coaches for their great season during the Board Meeting last Monday.

"Full" School Physical Information

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) requires Illinois students to receive a "full" physical exam within one year of entering any pre-Kindergarten/Early Childhood program, Kindergarten, sixth and ninth grades.

Winnebago High School receives Illinois Honor Roll Award

Winnebago High School is one of 147 schools across the State to receive a spot on the 2009 Illinois Honor Roll. To receive this award, Winnebago High School had to show an upward trend in tests scores and increase scores in reading and math by at least 7.5 points a year the last two years.

Winnebago CUSD #323 receives technology grant

Winnebago CUSD #323 received a $296,000 federal grant Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT or E2T2).

Winnebago CUDS #323 partners in national pre-engineering program

Students at Winnebago CUSD #323 have the opportunity to participate in Project Lead The Way, a national pre-enginnering program. Project Lead the Way is about teaching and learning. It provides a hands-on, project and problem-based approach, which adds detail and exactness to the traditional technical programs and significance to traditional academics.
