Winnebago District 323

Mission StatementWinnebago CUSD #323 is located in the Village of Winnebago and services students from five rural communities. Students and families from Burritt, Rockford, and Winnebago Township as well as from the Villages of Winnebago and Seward are part of our education family.

Winnebago CUSD #323 is a PreK-12 grade district that provides comprehensive, strong core academic programs. The district is comprised of one high school, one middle school, and two elementary schools.

Our mascot, the Winnebago Indian, is a copyrighted mascot that was researched and drawn by local artist Tom Heflin.

Registering to Vote
In cooperation with Winnebago County Clerk, residents of District #323 will now be able to register to vote at the District Office or in the office of any of the District’s schools. If you are new to the District or if you have moved since you last registered to vote, you can register at the school nearest you.

2020-2021 Kindergarten Pre-enrollment

Do you live within the Winnebago School District and have a child that will be five years old by September 1, 2020?  If so, they are eligible to enroll in kindergarten for the upcoming school year. Our kindergarten pre-enrollment will open Friday, February 14. By completing pre-enrollment, parents inform us of potential incoming kindergarten students for the 2020-2021 class. 

Upcoming FEE Events March 2 and May 30

Winnebago FEE will be hosting two great events starting with a Culver's Cares Fundraiser Night On March 2 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Winnebago Culver's. Culver’s Cares Fundraiser nights are for giving back to our local community. Come join FEE for a night of great food, raffles, fun and fun. 

No School March 23 - 27

No School for Winnebago Staff and Students March 23 - 27 due to Spring Break. All school offices will be closed. Classes will resume Monday, March 30. 

5 Essentials Parent Survey

Winnebago Parents, if you haven't already completed it, please take a few minutes to do the 5 Essentials Parent Survey. We need 20% completion in order to get a report from the State.

WMS Health Sciences and Human Services presentation

Winnebago School District #323 and Winnebago Middle School would like to Thank the WinBurSew Fire Department, the Army, Crusader Community Health, KP Counseling, United Way and Athletico Physical Therapy for presenting Health Sciences and Human Services to all students at Winnebago Middle School. 

WHS "Operation Fill the Plate" a Success

Winnebago High School students packed two cargo van loads with food donations that went to the Freeport COOP Pantry and the Pecatonica Community Food Pantry Monday & Tuesday. (Best estimate is at least 2000 lbs. were collected or equal to 60 copy paper boxes). WHS Freshmen & Seniors worked together Tuesday morning to prepare the van for Pec Community Pantry.
