2007-08 Season Highlights

Last year Winnovation hosted a mini-competition to help train new team members. The team also did several things to help our community and have helped rake leaves for senior citizens and several other things. Last year’s challenge was Overdrive and the team competed in three regionals -- the first one was in Chicago. There, the team finished as semi-finalists and won the Autodesk Visualization Award. The team competed in the Wisconsin Regional and finished semi-finalists. Since the team still had not qualified for nationals, a trip to Colorado was the last chance to qualify.
In Colorado, the team performed outstandingly and finished as undefeated champions. They also won the Engineering Inspiration Award, the second highest honor in all of FIRST. The season cumulated with Nationals in Atlanta where they competed in the Newton division.
